Like you have stages of marriage, you also have seasons of marriage. In the parable called a seed growing secretly, Jesus is telling this story to indicate how the kingdom grows. He alerts His audience that a farmer does not know how it grows, but he knows if he does his part, God will bless the work of his hands. So he plants, cultivates, waits, watches, and expects what he did and what God will do will bear fruit.

Isn't that like marriage, if we do our part, we hope, we wait, we watch, we expect, that our labor I not in vain. And if you do not think, regardless of how long you have been married, marriage does not take work.

Just like the seed, marriages go through seasons. Some marriages started good, ended up bad. Some marriages started bad, ended up good, and some marriages are in the same place it was from the beginning. We must work through the seasons of marriage, no matter the state of our marriages, because we cannot settle for a good marriage, not just a great marriage, but a godly marriage, one that pleases God and makes others want to emulate and model in their own marriage. Season, every marriage ha them. Like the seed growing secretly, there are 4 seasons: The sowing Season, The Unripe Season, The Cold season, and the Harvest Season. What season is your marriage in?
