The Price of Maturity

Maturity will depend on who we love and how we love. Mature people are able to overcome the wounds of the heart and instead of responding in childish ways of revenge, bitterness, the blame game, evaluates themselves in the negative situations in life. The mature learns from them, evaluates what we have contributed to the situation, forgives, and moves on deciding that I will still respond in love for I still have a lot of love in me to give. This comes with a price because it looks inward before focusing outward. Mature people engage in mature relationships, children engage in childish relationships that have a faulty view of love- the love of God, Love of self, and love of others.
